What Is Sixes (6-6-6) in Golf?

Sixes -- also called 6-6-6, Six Six Six, or Round Robin -- is a golf betting game for exactly four players. The 18-hole round is divided into three 6-hole segments, and partnerships rotate after each segment. Every player partners with every other player exactly once, making it one of the fairest formats in golf gambling.

In the first segment (holes 1-6), players A and B might be partners against C and D. For holes 7-12, the teams shuffle -- A and C vs B and D. The final segment (holes 13-18) completes the rotation: A and D vs B and C. Each segment is scored independently, either as match play (best ball per hole, count holes won) or stroke play (total combined strokes).

The rotating partnerships are what make Sixes special. You can't coast on one strong partner -- you'll be playing with and against everyone by the end. Payouts are calculated per segment, then netted across the full round. A player who wins two segments but loses one still comes out ahead.

Settle Up Golf handles the partner rotation, segment scoring, and settlement math automatically. Choose your wager per segment, pick match or stroke format, and the app tracks everything in real time. Combine Sixes with Skins or a Nassau bet to stack multiple games in the same round.
