Start a Pairs Tournament

From the Tournament tab, tap New Tournament. Select Pairs as the format, enter a name (e.g., "Spring Member-Guest"), pick your date, and choose the course.

The Pairs format is built for events where every player competes as part of a two-person team — classic Member-Member or Member-Guest structure.

Format note: Pairs uses pair best-ball scoring by default. Each pair's better net score counts on every hole.

Add All Players

Add every participant from your player list or by typing their name. Include both members and guests — handicap indexes are required for net scoring.

The app needs an even number of players to form pairs. If you have an odd number, add a placeholder and manually remove them from scoring before play.

Guests: You can add guest players during setup without a full profile. They'll appear on every scorecard and the leaderboard.

Assign Pairs

Tap any two players to pair them. Each pair gets a pair label (Pair A, Pair B, etc.) that stays consistent through the leaderboard and settle-up sheet.

Or tap Auto-Pair to let the app balance pairs by combined handicap — similar to a snake draft, so no pair has an unfair advantage.

Member-Guest tip: Manually assign each member with their guest so the pairings are intentional, not random.

Build Foursomes

Drag pairs into playing groups — two pairs form a foursome. The app shows the foursome label on each group's scorecard so everyone knows who they're playing with and against.

Foursomes determine which pairs compete head-to-head for per-group games like Nassau and Match Play. The overall leaderboard ranks all pairs by combined best-ball score.

Tee times: You can assign tee times or starting holes to each foursome in the setup flow. Great for shotgun starts.

Choose Games

Add games at the tournament level — Skins run across all pairs, Low Net and Low Gross pay out the top pairs on the final leaderboard.

Inside each foursome, add pair-vs-pair challenges: Nassau, Match Play, or stroke play with a wager. These run head-to-head between the two pairs in that group.

Calcutta: Enable a Calcutta alongside your pairs tournament for an extra betting pool. Lines are built from pairs, not individual players.

Track & Settle

On the Board tab, the leaderboard ranks all pairs by best-ball score in real time. Skins accumulate across the field. Pair wagers settle automatically when each group finishes.

When everyone wraps up, the Settle Up sheet shows exactly what each player owes or is owed — across all games in one screen. No more IOUs at the 19th hole.

History: Finished pair tournaments are saved in History with full pair-level P&L. Great for year-over-year tracking at your club event.
