Step 1 of 6

Open the Events tab

Tap the Events tab in the bottom navigation. It used to be called Tournament — same place, broader purpose.

The Events screen lists everything that's in flight: scheduled rounds, active tournaments, Birdie Pools, and Tour Bet events.

One tab, every event. Scheduled rounds, tournaments, and pools all live here — sorted by date so what's next is on top.
Step 2 of 6

Tap "Schedule a Round"

From the Events screen, tap the Schedule a Round card. This opens the scheduling flow — quicker than the full tournament wizard, designed for a single foursome or fivesome.

Step 3 of 6

Set course, date, tee time, and meet time

Pick the course (from your saved list or a quick search), the date, the tee time, and a meet time — when everyone should actually show up. Most groups set meet time 30–60 minutes before tee time to warm up.

Meet time matters. Telling the group "tee time is 9, be there at 8:15" cuts down on the "where is everybody?" texts on tournament morning.
Step 4 of 6

Invite your regulars by phone

Enter phone numbers for the people you want to invite. Each invite goes out as an SMS with a join link. When they tap it, the link opens the app (or routes them to the App Store first if they don't have it) and drops them on the RSVP screen.

The join code is the same 6-character code Settle Up Golf uses everywhere — short, no-confusion characters.

Save typing: If they're already in your friends list, tap their name instead of typing a number.
Step 5 of 6

Watch the RSVPs come in

Invitees pick one of three options:

✓ In ? Maybe × Out

You see a live count on the Events screen — In / Maybe / Out totals plus names. Maybes can flip to In or Out anytime before launch. You can keep adding invites as long as the round is still in scheduled status.

Step 6 of 6

Tap Launch when it's time to tee off

When everyone's at the course (or close enough), open the scheduled round and tap Launch. The schedule transitions into a live round — anyone who RSVP'd In is auto-added, and the standard setup screen takes over so you can pick games, set wagers, and tee off.

Pair it with The Starter to skip the bet setup too — tell it "Nassau and Skins, $5" and tap Start Round.

Late additions: The 6-character join code still works at launch. Anyone who didn't RSVP can hop in by entering the code at the first tee.

Why Schedule a Round Beats a Group Text

Most foursomes coordinate by group text — three "I'm in" replies, one "let me check with the wife," and someone always forgets the tee time. Schedule a Round replaces that thread with a structured invite. You set the time and course once, send the invites once, and the app tracks who's actually showing up.

It is built on the same tournaments engine that powers multi-group events, so the data model is rock solid — scheduled rounds live alongside live tournaments and Birdie Pools in one Events tab. When you launch, the round inherits the participant list and routes everyone into the same live scorecard.

Schedule a Round is free, included in every Settle Up Golf install. It is part of the v2.0 release alongside The Starter and the Hi-Lo standalone card. Read the full release notes for the rest.
