Enter hole-by-hole scores for your group. Carryovers, ties, and per-player payouts all calculated instantly.
On each hole, the player with the unique lowest score wins the skin. If two or more players tie for low, no one wins — the skin carries over. The next hole's skin is now worth double (or triple if it carries again, and so on). The carryover dynamic is what makes skins exciting: a single late birdie can scoop a 5-skin pile.
This calculator uses the pay-each-other model — the most common format in casual money games:
The alternative is a pot model where every player puts the skin value in the pot per hole and the hole winner takes the whole pot. The math comes out close but the pay-each-other model maps to natural conversation ("I won that skin off you, you owe me five").
It's rare across 18 holes, but possible. If every hole ties, no money changes hands. The calculator will show 0 skins won and a $0 net for everyone.
If the carryover stack lands on hole 18 and that hole also ties, by default the carryover is "left on the table" — no one wins the accumulated value. Some groups play with a "playoff" rule where ties on hole 18 are resolved by a sudden-death playoff hole. This calculator does not apply playoffs.
Not directly — enter the player's net score on each hole if you're playing net skins. For automatic stroke application based on each player's index and the course's hole handicap rating, use Settle Up Golf.
Yes. With two players, the skin winner just collects the value from the other player (× 1). Ties still carry over the same way.

Skins is just one game most groups run. Settle Up Golf tracks every game your foursome plays and calculates the net at the end so you only owe one number.
